This started off as a just for fun idea (all my lists are such since I'm a new player so no where near competitve) but when I showed it to a friend he claimed that people would not want to face it as it would be overpowered. Do you agree? OR is he being a wuss?

You should get an ADL with comms relay in there to help with your reserve rolls.

Make them all Dakka Jets to get the points.

Not competitive but fun.
Double FoC leads to more broken lists than yours(I slightly assuming that 6 dakkajets would be better.)
Try model aeroplanes as a base, then add some orky bitz and orks.

Though I do love the smell of napalm in the morning.

Just remember to learn how to really work Fliers, because only being able to Zoom can limit your fire arcs if you aren't paying attention. (resulting in less shots over the coarse of the game)
