Hello everyone, I am currently painting a Necron Canoptek Wraith, but I have come upon a challange.
I am going for the box cover paintscheme, but going over from the green/yellowish OSL to a red, that would compliment the green edge highlights.

The problem comes to the red OSL as I am currently set back with my method, I wanted it to look like a red laser, I tried to upload an image of a laser dot, but failed.
Anyway, I managed to make the OSL pink instead of that glowy red I wanted. I'm thinking I added too much white to the mixture, instead of adding thin layers of white over a red basecoat.

I don't want to use the standard gem method for the eyes, as I want it to look mechanical and not as a lense. Although this will be my backup plan...
From what I have seen from the referance picture I looked up after I failed my first attempt, it looks like I only need red and white, orange might help it pop, but I would like to avoid using orange.

So does anyone want to share their method of painting Red OSL with me, or give me some guideing? I am using the box art as referance on where to put the paint and highlights, so that should not be the biggest problem.

Thank you for poping by and hope you can help me!

Thank you, it was easier for me to write a quick wall of text then go to sleep rather than searching on google
