Hey i was trying to create a forest coloured tyranid scheme sadly the green and red dont mix very well on the scheme. Like using camouflage i was thinking grey with green on the back to look like rocks with algae growing on the backs with a brown shade on the grey. I want to avoid the GW hive fleets out there and make my own

So is the question how to do so? I'd either go with base coat grey, drybrush white/grey highlights, then stipple dark angels and over the dark angels stipple a lighter green. Although a brown skin green carapace or vice versa nid would look nice.

See my sig for a blog on a natural coloured Hive fleet. Although it is an official scheme (Hive Fleet Ouroboros, e.g. in Imperial Armour 4), it is lesser known and different from the popular ones.

It's Dwarven Flesh (still have some pots) with a good amount of Flesh Wash. Todays equivalent are Cadian Fleshtone and Reikland Fleshshade I think.

Hey.
I did a couple of jungle-like colour schemes on two of my Genestealers here
http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/403907-Conversion%2C%20Genestealer%2C%20Lightning%20Claw%2C%20Tyranids%2C%20Warhammer%2040%2C000.html
One has a blue-grey base colour and then I added spots of 3 different greens overlapping and becoming less dense as you move away from the joints (which are dark green).
The other (with the lightning claw) is a light brown-green base colour with stripes of a darker green and sand coloured joints.
These are both one-offs (so no idea how an army would look) but could give you an idea, I was aiming for a natural colouration for them.
