I'm just trying to get into IG, and am interested in using themed infantry models I currently own (limiting the amount I can field - thus vets as opposed to blob). I've finally arrived at this list as a decent template to start building towards after a few playtests. I think it has a good mix of weaponry capable of dealing with hordes, vehicles, and MEQ. Any suggestions are more than welcome, however, as I'm still as of yet unfamiliar with the IG playstyle.

I prefer Medusa over Manticore.

There ability to shoot both size templates and know that templates can hit more than one tank (ignoring if the whole hole is over the hull) is just too good.

I like the plasma theme but you need some meltas. I know it doesnt help stay with the them but landraiders (even with your lascannons) are still bad news for you.

I agree is Icelord. I'd change 2 of the vets to melta to ensure you have some real tank busting ability. Saves you about 30 pts. Just enough for an astropath or officer of the fleet.

I agree, I like the change of two plasma squads for 2 meltas. 30 points for 2 up vendttas turn two is a bargain too. Not digging the plasma pistol, don't know what to spend it's points on.

I'd suggest keeping the manticores, as the Medusa cannot fire both types of shell, if it takes BB it has to fire them, which limits its use somewhat. But yes, you do need some melta. This gets you points for an Astropath, to boost your chances of your fliers come on T2.

i like the list however not sold on Manticore's but thats just me
