Neophyte Undergoing Surgeries

Hi all, I'm asbestosmad, a long term lurker who has decided to take the plunge and introduce myself.
I was introduced to 40K early this year by a couple of my friends and have been slowly getting into the swing of modelling (not bad-ish), painting (OK-ish if you squint) and playing (badly) but throughly enjoying myself. I have spent many an evening looking through the forums, marvelling at all your work which provides me with inspiration for my own amateur attempts.
When I decided it was finaly the time to invest in an army, I was coerced into buying AoBR. I took one look at the Orks and their random orkiness and decided that Space Marines was the way to go. At this point I had not delved to deeply into all the associated 40K fluff and so had not fallen in love with any particular chapter and so decided to start my own - The Pathfinder Vipers, a chapter who have been charged with exploring new worlds, seeking out new life and new civilisations and cleansing them in the name of the Emperor.
Well thats me and my story - Im off to drool over the P&M Blogs
