played a good with this list last night and opponent just managed a draw on the last role of the dice! was winning by a mile before that, few mistakes were made by me (we were playing relic) should have supported the relic carrying squad better rather then throwing my assault marines away and should have deep struck the termies the other way around (deep struck the 6 man squad with libby and ass cann in his deployment and termie squad with H flamer protecting the relic cutting off his rhino with warlord.
If I had done that I would have won, but i played a lot better tactically and rolling die then I have so far. Otherall I am happy with the list, wasnt overall impressed with the assault marines but against space wolves, well its hardly a suprise?.
The attack bikes did their job rather well metla ing a rhino and three dudes with the explosion (run the termies in front of the squad, should have shot them, doh!
The scouts, meh, did ok but thinking that bolters and ML or HB might be a better idea for rapid fire range, move n shoot they took a few SW down but doubt they did their points back.
The furiso dread did ok, got taken out turn 3 after good placement by me turn 1, but took out a whole squad of drop podding SW's think it was 6 or 7 in shooting then charged the fleeing unit to finish them off, he is a sucide unit but I have to be careful not to give away first blood with him.
One tac squad did brillant taking out about 6 SW's in a turn off rapid firing then got whittled down big time by his whole army
My warlord whiffed a bit, didnt kill much and proceeded to fail his two up, managed to cast just one power the whole game, took a wound to perils, so I am thinking of swapping him out, 200pts for one dude with 2 wounds and no ranged attacking bar shooting, not sure on.
The main things I am thinking of changing is Warlord either have a JP chaplin or normal chaplain or commander for the tac squads, beefing up the assault squad with some better weapon options (thinking 2 flamers?)
Swapping out snipers to bolters for the scouts and adding a HB in there, or keep the snipers and a ML in there?
