Subject: Commissar Yarrick and Summary Execution

Does Yarrick counts as a Commissar for the Summary Execution rule.
Summary Execution states that a Commissar will not shoot a Commissar of either rank. Under It's For Your Own Good (Primaris Psyker) it refers to a Commissar of any type.
Prior to 6th ed it didn't matter, however, with the Terrify power removing Fearless, I could see a lowly Commissar popping Yarrick.
Thoughts?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

He was never given the rule, as (previously) his Fearless meant it would never be used.
Looks like the Old Man might be up for Execution now...

My question is not can he Execute, it's can he be Executed?
Just in case there is confusion.

I would think that his name would make him immune. He is a Commissar.

Strange as it seems, the only way to avoid him being executed is to prove he's a Commissar.
His name suggests he is, and he has the Aura of Discapline rule. Should mean he's safe.

The problem is not proving he is a Commissar. It is proving he is a Commissar of either rank.

I dont think it matters.. Much like the Tyranid special characters, he is simply an upgrade of a commissar.

That might be a problem if they said what those ranks were. If the ranks were defined as Commissar or Lord Commissar, then Yarrik might not fit. For all we know there are 32 different ranks of Commissar, and either rank is fine.

I think most players would concede that Commissar Yarrick is a Commissar and will not be executed.

The problem is if you look at Primaris Psykers, their special rule says a Commissar of any rank. I don't think anyone would argue that he is a Commissar of any rank, however, technically he is not of either rank.
