A friend and i where talking tonight and he said that my grey night paladins can still attack after firing heavy weapons. what is the special rule that allows this? I can't seem to find it.

Isn't it relentless? I thought it was, or maybe that was last edition...

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own... |

Relentless allows you to assault after firing a heavy weapon.
Relentless is given to a model by wearing a suit of Terminator armour.
So, basically, you want to re-read the bit of info on the TDA somewhere in the equipment section.

No problem, back when I started I also forgot that TDA granted additional rules. There's a lot to learn about other people's armies - but believe me, anyone playing you has it even worse, as Tyranids do not share equipment between the armies like the Imperium of Man armies do, so there's a lot more to learn.
If you've played C: SM, then you roughly know what to expect from BA. Gives you no advantage in a game vs Tyranids or Tau, though

The only reason i started playing GK was because there are about 4 people at my LGS who play them and i wanted to know why i was loosing I feel dirty for playing them but am so OCD that i have to play WYSIWYG even when i'm playing with myself at my house practicing to beat the knights.

You're playing an army that many call one of the weakest at the moment, against an army that many call one of the strongest, and that strongest army is almost more specially tailored to take down your army than it is to taking down daemons.
I don't think the problem is with you You're gonna need to seriously outplay the GK players to win.

i have beat many very good grey knight players with my bugs. I've tabled grey knight players on turn 2. Bugs are no joke in capable hands. that being said, yes, grey knights are a terrible, almost un-winnable match-up. it doesn't help that they are the cheapest army to build, and most would say, the best. I will keep learning their ways, after all... these space marines in grey armor taste better than most.
