Does an IC have to be in B2B to attack in 6th. I have found in the IC section that he is counted as part of the unit but still a character. Im not sure if I'm overlooking something. Pg numbers would be helpful, thanks.

No, an IC no longer has to be in b2b in order to attack. Page 23, Who Can Fight.

Just note that the IC must always Pile In first to attempt to reach BTB though.

Note that this distinction rarely ever matters anymore (barring if they can be challenged), as you can assign wounds to any model in B2B with a model attacking at that Initiative step.

True, but it usually resolves the IC out of btb issue
