So hi everyone ! I'd like to start the Legion for casual game. I wondered which was the playstyle of this faction and which warcaster would be best for small elites list (mostly CC).

What exactly do you mean by small elites? Absylonia runs an all beats list with spme support solos. At 35pts maybe even 25pts you should never take her put of her tier as its to good not to use.

The legion has a ton of range, I mean it,a ton. And though they can be a shooty faction they really hit hard in close combat too. They play very much like a glass cannon in that regard, they hit hard, fast, and absolutely love targeted destruction, pick a scary thing and make it die that is the legion. Many games you will find going for the throat and getting a caster kill is super easy, and many people will get mad and throw the quote "Thats sooooo Legion" at you, but hey, when your armies tank rocks a unmodified 18 ARM, you know you shouldn't be stuck in combat. Other then that the rest is up to you, i run Abby and P-lyl because they have such different play styles and its fun to mix it up, so think about what YOU like rather then what the Legion's play style is and Dakka can answer your question a little bit easier. Since elite CC is fairly vague, elite CC beasties, then Absylonia, then again PLylth and an Angelius is a nasty combo. SO refine what you need help with and I will be happy to give you more, I love talking about my little dragon people.

I have a starter box of Legion, and I was looking in to getting Abby. But it seems like if your legion, you need to run her. I havent heard much talk about any other warlock.

Are the other ones pretty decent? Or just a waste of time?

I only have 2 games in so far with the starter set, so I am still trying to learn the game. I mean, I like the fact that my Carnivean can eat faces and wreak havoc on other guys (or from what i saw in my 2 games it did!), but I want to see what else is out there before i go to a beast/abby army.

Saeryn is widely considered the best 'lock Legion has. Vayl (e and p) are both quite strong. All three are generally considered stronger than Abby. Oh, and eLylyth can 1-turn caster kill pretty easily.

On the other hand, Abby is my favorite (and I've run most of them at least once). She, Saeryn, and eThagrosh can run really beast heavy. Actually, come to think of it, Vayl can run pretty beast hot; she just doesn't have as much natural support for them.

Hum, very good to know! I will have to pick up some more beasts, thats for sure, I am only running the 1 carnivean right now, but he kicked butt last 2 games!

For me I Legion has been a very fun learning experience. My Favorite is PThagrosh at lower points. If you like Rocking Carnies then His Feat will excite you. He gets to bring a Warbeast back after is has been killed. Plus his spells help support them nicely.
