Hey, I was bored tonight while talking to my Best Friend, so I decided to paint a simple test model for my future Necron army *coming soon* ... I painted this guy up in an hour and was wondering what people thought of him, hes only to a simple standard as he is only a basic troop ... so no special treatment, also no mould lines removed as it was only a test. C&C 100% welcome

P.S. these were taken with my phone my DSLR is at my school

Looks good, very neat painting. One thing I would consider is avoiding generic silver necron syndrome by doing some more panels and armour red. Perhaps leave the joints, spine and face silver.

What do you have planned for the base? I think a red martian dust effect could be good.

100% agreement with squasher. Run some more red on him dude, make the skull and spine stand out, mebbe the radia on the arm too, just to give it a unique look. I like it so far, don't quit now!

Laziness is no excuse.

Well my plan is; Warriors-Red Shoulder Pads, Immortals-Red Shoulders and Head, Lychguard-Red Shoulders and torso ... Im doing this to show Hierarchy in the Dynasty

Ah, OK. That sounds cool.

Perhaps another thing you could do is to paint them as I suggested (if you want) but denote the hierachy by the quality of their armour. The warriors could have rusted, chipped and damaged dull red armour, the Immortals could have slightly brighter and less damaged red armour, whilst the Lychguard could have glossy red marble armour in pristine condition, maybe with some hieroglyphic markings.

Just a thought, your original idea sounds good too.

Ah hierarchy paint. THAT would actually be cool. Less detail on your grunts means not only do your leads stand out, but its easier to get the darn things painted fast as well. Good plan. Send your blog dude, I'd like to follow.

Hey guys, I picked up a pot of Citadel Texture: Blackfire Earth yesterday and applied it today with a Nuln Oil wash and was wondering what colour would be good for drybrush, I also completed another warrior and started my second destroyer today.

Thnx, Beast

Looking nice! The base is really cool.

I still think he needs something to distinguisb him from the average silver Crons, but he certainly looks good.

How are you planning on painting vehicles or construct armour?
