GhostOfCaliban here and I must say first off, that I am pretty stoked to get back into table top gaming. Its been about 12 years for me. I'm currently residing in Afghanistan for work, but I hail from AZ USA. I just picked up the new Dark Vengeance Limited Ed. starter and am slowly relearning the rules. I plan on collecting and playing a custom DA themed SM army called Ghosts of Caliban. The starter set has provided me with a base to build on. I don't know if I will be using the yet to come DA codex or the SM codex. I will be collecting and painting over the next several months and will hopefully have some pics to upload into the gallery here on Dakka. In fact my Ven Dread should be here in the next day or so! (By the way, any advice on magnetizing would be greatly appreciated. What to buy etc.) The Emperor Protects!

Good to see another soul who's back in to tabletop gaming! My suggestion is buying another troops choice for your DA army, which would be another Tactical Squad or a character that would allow you to field either Ravenwing or Deathwing as a troops choice (Sammael and Belial respectively). You could also buy the Ravenwing Battleforce if you're going the Ravenwing route, saves you over $20 than buying them separately and it give you the parts to make Master of the Ravenwing's land speeder

Well met, brother. Your story sounds a fair bit like mine. I had tried to get active with 40k back when 4th edition was wrapping up, but due to a multitude of reasons (not the least of which being 5th ed. hitting) it didn't work out. I'm trying to get back in again, and this time it really does look like nothing is going to stop it from happening, so I'll be fielding a Deathwing Unit here in the foreseeable future.
