Hey all!

I have finished up some of my Necron for my army, and i wanted to know what you think. Keep in mind that i am very new to painting miniatures. So new that this is my first, real try. So be gentle.

(First i want to apologize for the quality of the pictures. HTC Wildfire does not have the best camera. Sadly.)

What do you think? All comments are welcome!

Thank you in advance!

From what I can see they look pretty good.

The red really helps break up the metallic colour.

One thing to note though is that the red seems to be applied rather thickly by looks of it. Having it a bit thinner would help smooth it out.

When the rich rage war it's the poor who die

Armies I have: Chaos Space Marines, Tau, Necrons, High Elves

Armies I want:Lizardmen, Warriors Of Chaos, Dark Eldar

Armies I may get: Dark Angels, Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts

Not too shabby. Thin your paints and experiment with some drybrushing.

I think the reason why the paint is thich some places, is because the Mephiston Red is not a base that covers up that good. That said, i do agree.

The drybrushing i thought of myself, but i am not sure at all how the look will be if i drybrush different colors. I don't even know how drybrushing looks at all.

Your doing just fine. You have a very clean paint scheme. What you can think about is if you want more contrast between the highlights and the shadows. More washes could be added and more extreme highlights could be added.

Looks good to me, I like the red silver contrast.

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss

Again, i'm liking the paint scheme.

If the red is not covering as well then you could look at using one of the "Base" reds to ensure a godo first coat and then use thin layers of the Mephistion Red to build up the brighter colour.

Other than that the only things i can suggest is a wash and drybrush to deepen the recesses and bring out the edges.
