Well first and foremost Vulkan cannot buy a drop pod.

Are you planning on deep-striking 5-man termie squads? That sounds like a good way to get them killed. I'd do 10-man squads if they're going to spend a turn standing in the open.

Lastly, if you're going to suicide pod the Sternguard then I don't think you need 10 of them. I'd just go 5 dudes with combis and call it a day. No need to spend so much on them.

I love me some Salamanders but I don't like this list much. That's just my opinion though you have to do your own thing! Good luck.

I wouldn't count them as a suicide set really as all 20 + 10 marines will be dropped on turn 1. But I am still toying with this list. Any units you think need dropping or replacing?
