Hey guys.

Some of my friend sand I have started to peice together pre-heresy armies

There are 4 of us, 2 'loyalist' and 2 'traitor' teams. Allong with us collecting the pre-heresey army we have to make a custom Primarch for the army.

We have the Iron hands and Luna Wolves for the Traitor team (Ferrus Manus and Horus)

The Loyalist team consists of the Space wolves and Dark Angels (Leman Russ and Lion El'jonson )

I got saddled up with the Luna wolves but have no idea how to paint them. The colour scheme seems to be a light grey with black shoulder rims.
My question is what colours should I use or are there any other pre-heresy Luna wolf conlour schemes that you know of?

Iron Hands are loyalists

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...

Yeah, Iron Hands are famously loyal - Ferrus Manus was killed by Fulgrim in the Istvaan dropsite massacre.

Do you mean Iron Warriors - who DID go traitor?

To be fair the Luna Wolves were loyal too, I think you mean the Sons of Horus.

When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss

Different color scheme, and if is making the traitor side of his four man group he might want to get the details right.

And they started down the path to chaos at the time that Horus changed the name.

^ spot on. He changed his colours back with Garro to not be confused with the traitors.

Yeah I'm sorry about that, I got Iron hands and Iron warriors mixed up
Iron hands: Ferrus Manus
Iron Warriors: Perturabo

I don't know much about the Loyalist and Traitor teams around the Horus Heresy.

Thanks for that!

Yes I did sorry for the confusion

The Luna Wolves and Iron warriors eventually turned traitor (Even if the Wolves were re-named the Sons of Horus)
We're making pre-heresy armies, we're probably gonna work out a story so we can pitch the Primarchs against each other (Even if none of them have succumbed to chaos)

I'm sorry for all of the confusion guys, I'll have to read up on the Heresy and events leading up to it. I kind of rely on the other peopel in the group to pull me along lore wise.
We're making them allied armies in the great crusade, we have another group of 4 people that collect Deamons of chaos and we're gonna do a 4 on 4 with them.
Thanks for all of the comments and I'll try to get all of my facts together next time.
