So again, I'm turning to my good friends at Dakka for some modelling ideas. I know I've been lazy with posting pics lately, but I promise I'll post pics of anything we think up.

So I'm going to replace/repaint some lascannon and missile launcher models in my marine army. But I need ideas to make them look snazzy.

I used some kneeling legs and the guard lascannon to make a marine shooting a lascannon from a tripod.

Next I might try to use the cyclone bitz on power armored marines to make missile launcher marines.

What are some other good ideas for marine heavy weapon guys?

Servo-arms coming from the backpack to support the gun, like the Smart Guns in 'Aliens'
A lascannon with an extra lens array so you can have a shorter barrel/smaller body whilst retaining accuracy
A cyclone launcher on a tripod? Give the Marine some kind of targetting array/laser guiding device like on the old Cyclone guy's fingers.
An Arnie-in-'Commando' style rocket launcher instead of the usual one-tube affair
What about heavyv weapons stripped of their casing to make them lighter and more portable? I've never seen it done in 40K.

Set up the missle launcher with small wheels and a gun shield (kind of like a recoiless rifle) with a kneeling marine pulling a lanyard/pressing a button to fire it.  I can post some pics if you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Hmmm, perhaps the defiler havoc launcher on a cart. I like that.

Look into the Steel Legion lascannon. It's different to the plastic Cadian one, and could easily pass for a SM weapon mounted on a tripod.

I like the smart gun/aliens kind of idea. An under arm slung 2h heavy, like how a heavy bolter is carried in DOW would look cooler than a shoulder mounted las or missile launcher imo.
