I was wondering what people out there might think of a Sylvania Army mixed with parts undead and empire. Everything would count as empire but would consist of skeletons and zombies mixed in with the empire troops. It would be made clear what is what with the majority being for example Halbrediers. Just wondering as I have some unbuilt empire and vc laying around. There would also be possible some other cool conversion opportunities.

The theme overall would be Sylvania as it was after the Vampires took it over but before the Battle of Hel Fenn in 2145.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

I think that I like it...and that it has precedent.

The Storm of Chaos worldwide campaign? Actually had a Sylvanian army, complete with Zombie Crossbowmen and Halberdiers!

I've seen it done before, it's a great idea when executed properly. Some really really cool conversion opportunities indeed!

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

The idea reminds me of the Undead High elf army that featured in WD donkeys years ago.

There is so much potential with this idea.

A maybe 1-1 ratio of zombie/skeleton kits to empire kits will give you the mixture you need.

I had the same idea a long time ago. I went and bought a couple of boxed sets and came up with a purple, red and black color scheme to go with it. I wrote up a kind of hybrid-list using undead for obvious reasons and Empire (figuring that there are probably humans in Sylvania who see the Vampires as their legitimate lords) units as well. Obviously this was only used in friendly games. A few years later one of the Empire Army books came up with a similar list located in the back along with a few other ideas about how to make themed armies (Crusaders, Nuln gun-lines, etc.).

It's kind of weird, and in only some ways related. But whenever I used to play O&G, everytime I would beat an army for the first time (Dwarves, Lizards) that kind of thing. I would convert one of my units of Orcs to be wearing something of their fallen opponents. My favorite was when I beat some Dwarves I converted some of my Black Orks to be wearing their shiny mail. I loved it and it was always an amusing laugh whenever someone realized what I had done.
