Last time I played him his daemon allies gave me all kinds of trouble. Below is my list, I've got 170 Points to add to it to make 2K and I can field most things in the SW codex except Thunderwolf Cav. If ya'll could give me some help or ideas to deal with the daemons that'd be awesome.

I think you have a good to great SW list for all comers. But if I was going to play a 1000-sons army, I would focus on mobility and CC hitting power. His biggest advantage is his AP3 bolters. To minimize that advantage, you want to reduce the number of 3+ armor dudes you have or increase the number of invulnerable saves you have. But you've got 75 power armored bodies! You also have no vehicles so you're not taking advantage of his lack of mobility. (1000-sons are slow and purposeful right?)

I typically don't play TWC, but I think they are perfect for getting in and trashing 1000-sons. Get into close combat where he only has 1 attack and his AP3 boltguns cant get you.

Next - vehicles. You don't have any. You need to get close to him so you can get into CC. The last thing you want to do is stand there and shoot it out with him.

That last bit is an interesting statement because I find that it's hard to compete with SW shooting!

I'm not saying that space wolves don't shoot well - everyone knows they do. I'm just saying that when playing against thousand sons, you want to minimize the effect of their AP3 bolters by NOT standing toe to toe and trading bolter rounds. The SW's will lose that way.

Long Fangs want to hang back and shoot krak missiles, sure. But they can shoot from outside the range of the hellfire rounds. Grey Hunters can't. They really need to close with the 1000-sons and get down and dirty in H2H combat.
