I'm returning to 40K after many years away, probably not going to actually play all that often but I fancy painting up a couple of armies. I started with Rogue Trader, catching a couple of playtest games at GW HQ (in Eastwood back then) and painting up some of the pre-release Space Marines for display at the Derby and Nottingham shops. When I had to get a full-time job I drifted away from the 40K scene although we still played 2nd ed. quite a bit. I missed out 3rd ed. completely and got a freebie of 4th ed. although I only played it once.

I had always promised myself a Dark Angels army so I am currently hankering after a Dark Vengeance box, even if Space Marines don't look quite as good these days (Space Wombles really were much cooler! ).

Anyway enough rambling, I need to get back to my plan for sneaking a GW box set into the house without she-who-must-vet-all-purchases getting suspicious...
