I have been thinking about this for a while and i cant decide who would win in a straight up even numbers fight. Yes the world eaters are more savage but there more likely to turn on one and other in blood lust and just lose control where as the flesh tearers are not gona hack each other up and may retain a some composure if only a little. so whats your opinion?

World Eaters disbanded before the Flesh Tearers were founded. So "historically", they couldn't have ever met.

If it's a novel, likely Flesh Tearers, because of plot armour (unless, of course, it's a World Eater novel).

Well you know what i mean. Khorne berserkers that originate from the world eaters then.

I don't think you'll get much of a definite answer.

Chaos Marine fans will lean towards World Eaters (savagery trumps vestiges of controlled strategy).

Loyalist fans will lean towards Tearers (vestiges of controlled strategy trumps savagery).

The best thing about 40K is that everyone can beat everyone (cue the story of a single Ork-Boy nearly doing in both Horus and the Emperor in their prime). Humble humans can triumph over Gods and noone is invincible.

Two sides clash and everything is up for grabs. There is no absolute A > B.

It's what I like best about 40K.

I'd strongly put my money on the World Eaters.

With equal numbers, World Eaters have the advantage of vastly superior experience, genetic modifications (butchers nails) and the backing of a Chaos God. Y'know, those aspects are near-irrefutable IMHO.

They also probably (this is more subjective however) have the advantage of martial skill and even greater brutality.

All I can see the Flesh Tearers really have on their side IMHO is composure, but even the World Eaters typically don't hack each other apart (Kharn is more of an anomaly) and the advantage if such a scenario includes ranged combat, rather than melee.

They both lose, but Khorne wins.
