Hey there folks, I am looking for another individual/special/unique character to run up the field along side Mephiston to really scare the **** ouf of some people. It is not designed to be ultra competitive, but who would work well as his partner in crime and help sew blood across the galaxy?
I was thinking of Grimnar but I can not decide. Please help

I think there should be more than one partner...more like escorts

Run gray knights as the main army, with angel allies. 2(maybe even three!) Dreadknights and mephy all flying up the board and laying absolute waste to anything in their path.

He has the statline of an MC, might as well put him with his own kind.

Run IG, give him Yarrick, and a retinue of Lord Commissars, Priests, and Techpriests. Watch your opponent laugh. Then cry tears of pain when he realizes all of those units are packing fists, chainfists, and all can challenge accept challenges.

Not competitive in the slightest, tons of points, and completely hilarious.

Take straken's command squad and add all those IC's to his unit and then you've even got 4 ablative wounds for him! (he is an IC right?)

Mephy is not an IC, so he cant join squads. He has to fly solo.

It depends a bit on how you plan to run Mephiston. If you are using the tradition Mephiston with his regular powers, you will probably need someone who can keep up with him meaning Jump infantry or the ability to deep strike in next to Mephiston when you get closer to the enemy. If you are going with new powers then anyone would do really.

With that said, I suggest Lysander. It would be an insane amount of points for both but oh the fun they would have together.

Run him with a trio of chainfist/ss lone wolves.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

I vote logan grimnar, with rockfist wolf guard, all in a drop pod. They are hard to kill and scoring.

I always thought brother corbulo was his old buddy. That FNP is basically an invulnerable.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...
