Looking at making a Dark Angels army. I am wanting to build a Death Wing army but unsure how this will go.

Want is your plan vs horde? 100 boys in your face and hammers and storm shields not as good.
other then that its not bad, lists with speed might be some trouble for you

I'm finding that I don't need the th/ss for defense near as much in 6th. I'd run 2 th/ss in a squad and kit the rest with SB/pf or cf and of course 1 cml per.

There as been a bit of talk recently about AC being worth it again since we are seeing an increase or foot troops and the AC can kill anything with lucky rending.The main draw back is no instakilling t4 and cost.But rumors say Cml are going to go up to 30pts or more in the new dex.

Sigh, another meta list. A FIFTH edition meta list. The TH/SS are completely unnecessary now. You could safely switch them all to bolter and give the sarge a TH/SS to eat low AP shots. Drop the apothecary, you don't need it. I personally am a proponent of bikes so I would suggest those. Also, you need air defense. Reliable air defense that is...At least until the DA book comes out,

TH/SS was standard for 5th, but as said above, not needed as much in 6th. Most power weapons are AP3 so your SS is not needed on everybody.
themadlbb has it right. 2 TH/SS per squad is plenty. Have them positioned so that they are between low AP weaponry and the rest of the squad so the SS can soak up plasma and the like.
EDIT: I run 2 CML and 2 AC in my Deathwing list. I like shooting. It works very well.

Ive tried running full Th/SS ,Full SB/pf, and a mix. Full Sb just die to fast to Ap2 and full Th/SS is a bit overkill against non ap2 so I've been running 2 Th/SS ,3SB/PF and that seems to be the right amount . Running one shield is ok but losing those 2 shoots isnt that bad of a trade off for 100% more survivability vs ap2.
in regards to the list ,speeders seem to give up first blood pretty easily now and might not be worth taking.I've been play around with C:SM allies for a flyer and bikes for my deathwing since SM bikes are around 25% cheaper plus you can get vehicles like preds for a bit cheaper

This guy has it right. I can back him up on the 2 TH/ SS, 3 SB/ PF DW squads. I use that too and it works great.
Speeders do give up first blood to easy. But if you are careful with them/hide them in cover they might be useful.
But instead of speeders I'd suggest taking RW bikes. Put meltas in one or two squads for tank busting (but termies do that fine in cc). Put flamers for horde killing (scout 12" + 12" movement turn 1= two flame templates on ork mob = ork mob runs away turn 1). Or if your meta is all SM and you have extra pts go for plasmaguns on the bikes and stay out of assault range.
SM allies work great. cheaper vehicles, scouts as troops.
Unless your meta is crazy about lots of fliers, don't worry about them. the DW are tough enough to ignore all fliers. (I beat a 3 Stormraven list at 1500 pts last weekend)
Vindicators are a great addition to a DW army. tough front A13 with a large blast for horde killing, ap1 (or ap2 can't remember) for enemy terminator killing, and S10 for vehicle killing. This can do everything except fliers!

Storm bolters are not all that. You will aim the CML and fire it, if you are lucky the bolters will be in range and suitable for the target, this is quite unlikely really.
I like to have more fire power than a bunch of missiles, so the preds are good. Vindicators cover a lot of the gaps which missiles do not touch.
Deathwing only really lack antiflyer. There a lot of flyers that can make a mess of you, in fact all the good ones that people want to bring. Then night scythes which probably are not brilliant at killing you but can ran rings around before jumping onto objectives.
