This thread is mostly for my own motivation, but having said that, I hope someone out there enjoys the work! Right now the tanks/vehicles are assembled and base coated, just need the paint and additional bits.

Lets start out with the 54th Armored, 7th Company. Steel and Thunder!

I plan on naming the tanks as I complete them, the company commander will be using the FW General Grizmund model, and the Comissar tank also using a FW commander. As it stands, the company consists of 7 Battle Tanks, 1 Vanquisher, 1 Demolisher, and 1 Exterminator. The comissar tank, while not formally part of the company, is effectivly attached to the 7th company, giving it a fighting strength of 11 tanks.

The command section

The command tank is an Alpha pattern Battle Tank w/Ryza turret and hull bolter.

The Commisar tank is also an Alpha pattern Vanquisher w/Ryza turret and hull lascannon.

The tank squadrons

1st squad consists of an Alpha pattern Vanquisher w/Gryphonne turret, and two Anvil pattern Battle Tanks, with hull lascannons.

2nd squad consists of a Demolisher w/hull lascannon, and 2 more Anvil pattern battle tanks w/hull lascannons.

3rd squad consists of an Alpha pattern Exterminator w/hull bolter, and two Phaeton pattern Battle Tanks w/hull bolters. All three tanks will eventually have removable (somehow) bolter sponsons added.

More to come later!

Looking good so far, i'm at about the same stage as you with a similarly sized tank company; 9 tanks base coated and ready for weathering/washing. Will the camo scheme be a flat green or do you plan to add a pattern?

The plan is for a flat green with some heavy weathering, but there will also be a bunch of extra bits tacked on the tanks as well. I'm a firm believer that the tiny things are what really make the tank.

That and the big guns...

I've got 3 more new style tanks, the chimeras, and my superheavy tanks yet to post. Then there's all my custom tanks I've got in various degrees of condition. I really do have a pile of tanks I need to get finished...

So I've moved from my apt into a house, been helping my housemates move in, got a new position at work, had a family crisis, then got a chance to put up the painting table...

So hopefully I'll actually be able to post some updates! Speaking of...

I give you Longshot, one of my first squad tanks.

I opted to paint up the Stygies Vanquisher turret first, i have 2 of them for first squad in case of Apoc games. I really think I went too heavy on the black wash... In dim moderate light the tank almost looks black...

Working on my next tank, and i'll go lighter on the wash this time and post some side by side shots.
