No doubt the first thing that came to your mind when you read the title was "They were always useless..."

Well that's not entirely true, you see. Up until the update, they actually did function as meat shields that heralds of Tzeentch on Disks could take with them across the board, being much more inexpensive per wound than Flamers, the only other Jump Infantry in the codex.

And now the flamers were given 2 wounds, lowering their points per wound to lower than that of Chaos Furies.

This means that the Chaos Daemons update indirectly nerfed the most underpowered unit in the codex, and one of the most useless units in the game.

Not that that's a bad thing, it makes extra use of models that were already useful without forcing you to buy metal minis for one mediocre combat tactic. Still, just something I noticed

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

This is an effect many people miss.

By Nerfing/Buffing a unit, you indirectly do the opposite to any units of comperable qaulity/purpose.

Its a quirk of tabletop wargames.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Do you just make threads to go "This is " "this is awesome now from the codex" "this unit is useless"?

Actually, it's a series of spotlight changes I'm posting from the update that nobody really spoke about. This actually might be the last, but you never know.

It depends on the topic, and how much is to be said for it, isn't it?

I mean, all that needs to be said has been said, so it's not like we can really have a good discussion on them from this point...

you need a soapbox bro
