Surprised nobody posted this earlier. Anyway, lots of protests in Pakistan. There is footage of dozens of protestors attacking road signs!! They must have been made in Texas or something!!
Anyway, a report from the BBC
At least 10 people have died as violent protests erupted on the streets of Pakistan's main cities in anger at an anti-Islam film made in the US.
Five people were killed in the port city of Karachi and a further five died in the north-western city of Peshawar, hospital officials said.
Protesters also breached the diplomatic enclave in the capital, Islamabad, near the US embassy.
There has been widespread unrest over the amateur film, Innocence of Muslims.
It is feared the number of deaths is likely to rise as dozens of people have been reported wounded and BBC correspondents said some were critically injured.
Protests have already left several people dead around the world, including Pakistan, where the government had appealed in advance for peaceful protests, declaring a holiday and "day of love" for the Prophet Muhammad.
Although US targets have borne the brunt of protests against the film, anti-Western sentiment has been stoked further by caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad published this week in the satirical French magazine, Charlie Hebdo.
France shut embassies and other missions in around 20 countries across the Muslim world on Friday.

I don't understand why road signs are being attacked. I remember years ago throwing a new york bagel away after watching Mel Gibson in the patriot, but road signs?
Anyway, I'll say one thing for the Middle East - these guys know how to riot!

The Patriot was a horrible movie. Not nearly enough red coats were killed via impaling with a flag pole. I was disappointed, I tell you.

The red coats looked closer to orange than red. That was my beef with the film
Back OT, I heard that Canadians in the Middle East were attacked as they were mistaken for Americans! What an insult?

Maybe they thought they were French, which would justify the violence really...

The reason why this sorta thing still has so much power for people is because they haven't been desensitized to it yet. I think cartoons of the prophet Mohammed should be spammed in the media like N-bombs in gangsta rap until everyone just gets bored of it.

Violence?
I don't know about that. Frenchmen make me want to redicule them

I want to see one where Captain America goes back in time and single handedly wins the battle of Breed's Hill.

Well after all, we did have Highlander vs. the Redcoats (the Patriot) why not?
What I want to know is, how are they going to do Gates of Fire after 300 and make it a success?
