Quick overview of the policy changes:

- Project managers must state up front the risks in investing in their project
- No simulations may be used, only projects in their current state
- No renderings, only photofraphs of the project in its current state
- Projects may not offer multiple quantities of a product

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

I think point 4 is a bit Draconian.

Nah, that makes sense, it's supposed to be about creating something cool, not taking pre-orders in large quantities. What's stupid is the ban on using renderings and simulations, is the person who wrote that really clueless enough to not realize that many projects need funding to get out of the conceptual stage and even build a prototype, and renderings and simulations are very useful tools in that process?

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

one of the examples in the comments was about a person making a new/better lightbulb.

Do you really only want to buy one lightbulb?

Is it a magic light bulb that can replicate itself?

So make renders, print them out and take photos of the renders? Perhaps a sticky note on the side mentioning "projected outcome".

The only thing I see as really necessary is the first point.

I agree, the first point should be up front... the rest is next to useless and might even hurt more then help.

Glad I funded the KS I care about prior to this.
