Here are the first troops I've got done for my all scout army I'm dreaming of building. I went with the Raptors because I love their color scheme and the fluff for them actually fits an all scout army. These guys have been in the company for centuries and have developed the pale white skin and black hair, like their brethren the Raven Guard.
My wife took these with her uber high speed camera so you can see every little flaw
Help me decide on the blue base or the black one guys...
Thanks for looking

Yeah, not a fan of the "scout" wearing power armor pants... It just doesn't look right. As far as the scouts "having served for centuries" in their scout company, fluff-wise the only marines that would do that are the sargeants who choose to stay with the scouts even after they have been fully initiated in to the chapter and awarded the opportunity to advance to the Devastator squads.
For the Raven Guard style pale skin, check out this article: http://fromthewarp.blogspot.com/2009/12/painting-raven-guard-muted-pale-skin.html?m=1

Hey thanks for the link Ill have to try that on the next guys I do.
The guy with power pants was already promoted to the devastators. He was re assigned as a missile launcher operator due to his skill with the weapon. He decided to keep his fancy pants on. (really just a way of me getting the most out of the sniper pack, with the extra upper body, I didn't want to wait to get an extra set of scout legs lol) As far as all of the other guys go, they have all remained or returned to the scout co. after several centuries of service to the Emperor.
@Valguard thanks for the compliment. Im going to attempt a wet blending technique on the next couple of models. Stay tuned to see the results and let me know which one is best.

If you ever need an extra bit or two, check out some of the various bitz sellers on eBay. More often than not, I use Blackdagger Games, they are based in the US and pretty cheap with a great turnaround. To me, that is a better option than using up a pair of space marine legs for a scout.

Thank you so much

So I did a guy up in Ultramarine colors because I love the color blue. This is my first attempt at wet blending and using a wet pallet. Its definitely harder that just layering and line highlighting
I'm not sure if I want to continue in this style or just stick to the easy layer- wash-line method.
Also, I cant decide if I want Ultramarines or Raptors. This hobby is gonna give me a heart attack with all the decisions to be made
And I know I suck at faces lol.
Well anyway here he is, thanks for viewing...
