Bush? No, Eldar Ranger

Procrastinating.

So, as the title says, this is a little thought process I had in relation to horde Dark Angels. The uni9t that had me thinking on this was none other than the company master, mainly because of the rule 'Rites of Battle.' This allows you to have an army of leadership 10 marines, add in things such as the company banner/Ezekiel bubble and you have a force that you can be all but certain is going to hold together.

The main problem with the list that I can see is a lack of long range threats; this is going to be t, solutions include, dreadnoughts, lspeeder typhoons, predators or CML deathwing.

Tear my idea apart at the seams, guys.

A "horde of marines" while tough to deal with, also have limited fire power. Marines are fairly expensive and while survivable, don't offer much in the killing department with a standard bolter.

Most people only take enough troops to be useful, and fill out their army with the more deadly shooting units.

I've played horde Greenwing for about 6 years now or so? I find that I always end up taking a Dev Squad or two to simply get in that long range hurt, usually one of plasma and one of Lascannons, make both a 10 man squad and then combat squad them. Captain, with ezekiel/azrael followed by at least one unit of Company veterans the rest are Tac Squads with Plasmagun Plasma Cannon.

Pretty much you're going to be spending the majority of your game not moving, the Company vets with captain and Ezekiel are for counterattack, and the tacs are for firesupport and objective grabbing. If you want a tac squad or two to move up field either give them heavy bolters or misile launchers for the snap shots along the way. I keep the plasmagun but it could be argued that a flamer is better for objective clearing.

If you're going to do the Termies, my thought would be make it an assault squad, use the missile launchers as well, as you were thinking, and deep strike them behind enemy lines with the deathwing assault rule. Even just having one in reserve guarantees an early deep strike deployment (because the rule sends half rounded up automatically) and so you can either have that added punch immediately entangling a unit, or in a list that employs armor, go for that instead. a unit of termies with chain fists on top of tanks usually becomes a bad day for someone quickly.

Terminators that deep strike alone will die in a hail of rapid fire weapons. It just happens, terminators can be pretty weak in the wrong situation.

You are putting yourself at a disadvantage you will be playing with an expensive but also rubbish vanilla marine list.
Combat tactics>lots of leadership 10 and fearless. That brings up the other point you have fearless pretty much everywhere or can do, so do you need leadership 10.

The best HQ at the moment for DA power armour is probably still Belial, as he is cheap. Librarians and ezekial can be very useful. Azrael may be awesome with IG allies.

I would use 5 man squads with laserbacks. They are pretty handy, they could also do with leadership 10 given their size.
Also TL lascannon is probably the best defence against flyers.
Probably deathwing best accompanies them, they can give cover saves and provide extra fire power to the lascannon.
