Ok i have made up a list for a tourny coming up on the 22 of October, at my LGS and I'm not quite sure about it, but i have posted it here for you guys to check out and give me some help revising it for the tourny.

HQ-librarian w/ sanguine sword, and smite(in drop pod w/ assault squad)-100 points

Troop-Tactical squad w/ plasma gun, plasma cannon(in bastion)-185 points
-Assault squad w/ 2 flamers, powerfist, no jump packs(in drop pod w/ liby)-197
-Drop pod- free
-Death company (9 guys, and in stormraven w/ chaplain)-200 points

Fast Attack- Baal predator w/ flamestorm cannon, heavy flamers,-140 points
- Baal predator w/ assault cannon, heavy bolters, searchlight-146 points

Heavy Support-Storm raven w/ twin-linked multi-melta, twin-linked plasma cannon, searchlight-201 points
-predator tank w/ heavy bolters, searchlight-101 points

Elite-Chaplain w/ melta-bombs-105 points

Fortification-Bastion w/ quad gun-125 points


I'm not sure whether this will do well in a tourny where most people are going to use the new CSM codex, or ME forces,so any help is much appreciated thnx

Ok so looks pretty good however dont take to heart what i gotta say i dont play Space marines i just get my ass kicked by them a LOT!!!!!!....... so my friend Joe who plays Blood angels uses the stormraven in all his lists and i gotta agree it is really badass blows up a lot of my stuff and in 6th ed its just gotten worse.... but i am going to recomend throwing in 2 vindicators for your Heavy support and drop the Pred tanl for a couple reasons. First off Vindicators are just ripe for abuse those str 10 templates are lame when all the do is keep falling on my stuff and never seem to scatter..... second reason if you have 2 and 1 blows up you still have the other to get revenge!!!!!
any ways that my 2 cents hope it helps other then that it looks like a geat list !!!!!1

thanks for the help, i appreciate it, and yeah vindicators seem to do that a lot hahahaXD. i mite try using the 2 vindicators out and teat the list some more

Just a heads up but, your Drop Pod only has a transport capacity of 10, not 11. On your Baal Predators, i would recommend going all Flame or all Cannon, not one of each.

Drop a few of the death company men and pick up 3 or 4 power axes.

I never run plasma on my storm ravens. Even with TL i dont like the chance of doing damage to my 200 point flyer. I usully run assault cannons or las cannons for tank busting.

Also you only have 1 scoring unit. I would grab 2, 5 man scouts or combat squad a tac squad. And even then 3 scoring units is pretty poor for 1500 points.

I argue against tac marines... in blood angels. The codex isnt meant for them. if you notice you get giant buffs for taking assault marines. Now in 6th the assault range is better(ish) its kind of the same but iI have steady higher range than in 5th.

drop pods... again not really for blood angels unless your running a dreadnought ... but you have a storm raven.. so thats much better anyways.

flamestorm cannon... meh dont get me wrong its a decent strength but why do you want your vehicles that close to other models when 60% of all armies are a space marine variant (hence power fists in every squad it seems (or melta bombs) or orks who have it? or meltas... I just dont like it. To each their own and it is one amazing swarm destroyer. However assault cannons at least give some ranged.. plus its rending it can drop land raiders, good for ant aircraft and good vs monstrous creatures (rending being ap2 and all)

I see a lack of anti vehicle in your list.

in 6th librarians are far better with the 6th edition powers. and take divination, its primaris makes him and the squad twin linked, toss him in a devastator squad or a veteran squad with some lascannons ... mwuahaha.

why assault squad 2 flamers? they are assault squads if you doom template the area your about to assault into.. you run the risk of killing the front line. the template is large enough that if you kill the front line your going to need a hell of an assault roll. if you like the flamers for over watch... that doesnt make sense they are ASSAULT squads not squads that get assaulted.

the bastion is nice moreso with the quad gun. just be careful im pretty sure it doesnt have rending and mathhammering it out the lascannon load out might be better (range and str) yes quad gun is nice and it has a fair chance at dropping flyers but a lascannon if its its a near guaranteed flyer dropper AND can be used for long range light apc murdering as well.

Vindicator tanks...
Once again... blood angels are assault champs and shooty CAPABLE, the strength of BA is in its assault, its cheap as hell vehicles due to ASSAULT squads so if your army is out in the fray assaulting and slaying.. and you have a vindicator with its short range scattering blast template (of doom) where is it going to fire? are you going to risk it hitting and killing your own troops.

In general this list looks more like a space marine build, not a blood angels build.

if you noticed my assault squad is only 197 points because its only 9 men...-_-

then how are you taking 2 flamers.

hiya so what I like to do with my libby is give him unleash rage for the reroles on the assault squad. smites fine or Blood lance is also fun but that ones up to you
As for the Assault squad IIRC its you are allowed a special weapons upgraid for every 5 boys so im sorry friend but you cant have 2 flamers I would go with a melta insted just so you can tap out a piece of armor early. and with the ability to "deploy" 6 in out from the pod makes that realy easy.
Preds.....Great...kinda .... I would drop the basic pred and the flaming one. 2 reasons the flame storm cannon is realy nice but dont take sponson flamers its a waste of templates and you dont want him up there alone, he will get squished. and the regular one theres so much more you can do if you just want a S7 AP 4 shot.
The Assault cannon one is fine If you want to keep it. It just will harrass and support the Pods.
I would take a DC dread with magma Grapple and a pod and throw a pod on the tac squad so you can drop the asault squad and a dread together turn 1 and drop the outher pod empty.
no plasma on your Storm Raven, just go TL LC 1 it does not get hot 2 you can start popping flyers.
and I would take a Dev Squad just to hide them in the bastion take a 6-10 man squad With ML and just fire ML outa the bastion and have the dev Sgt and guys up top firing the gun. OH and make it a LC becouse with the Sgt the gunners a BS 5 so you hit on 2's your gona kill the Gak outa things.
and that frees up your tac squad
As for Vindicators...... I <3 VINDICATORS!!!! there little balls of blasty death so if you can fit one by all means there awesome.
and as for the DC ....looks fine maby 1 more guy but all in all just need to know if your running Bolters or CC/BP both are fine for what I have seen

I would drop the chappy and the bastion, give one of the death company a hammer, add a death company dread, and buy a razorback 2/ tl assault cannon for the (combat squadded) tactical squad. That should be pretty close with points and a lot killier.

with 10 MODELS i can have 2 special weapons, with 9 guys and the libby i nthe squad i can use 2 weapons

No, you can't. You must have 10 models in the assault squad to unlock 2 special weapons. The libby is not in the squad when you build the list, so it is an illegal list when you take 2 specials on 9 models,

You're lacking troops. 2 scoring units at 1500 points isn't enough. The assault squad with nothing but a drop pod is not going to score a lot. The tac squad is going to be shot to bits.
People are going to throw melta at that bastion and kill all the troops inside before they even move out to try to score.

You also don't have anything scary enough to distract people from shooting your two troops choices. Yeah death company are worrying, but if they're in the storm raven they deep strike into a nice blast shaped circle for people to go to town on. Or your raven could be shot out the sky by a quad-cannon, or anything with interceptor since it's your only flier.

Bringing one flier is just a way to justify the opponents anti-air as points well spent. It'll be focused down relentlessly because everyone brings AA and it's the only AA target.
