Hello my dear fellow dakkanauts. I've been lurking around the site for quite a while now already, and finally decided to join the jolly lot of you.
I could call myself a typical wargamer - 18 years old male. I started my hobby two years ago at my local gaming club, picking up a bargain of space marines from one of the guys there and started playing the Blood Angels with their fresh new codex, after being convinced from their superiority

I've sticked around with them ever since and have a rather large collection of them already (~10,000pts.). I also run sort of a gaming club once a week, where we either play miniature games or
RPG. As the club leader, I also act as the "walking rulebook".
I fared well with them in the 5th edition, and once reached the 2nd place in a local tournament. I played the best, by my army was flattened by the second best army's paintjob

I'm a rather lazy painter... I like building and converting models more. Luckily the 2nd prize was a Contemptor Dreadnought, 1st would have been Shadow Spectres... I haven't got very much experience with the new rules of 6th edition, but most of the same old tactics would seem to work. Or what do you say? Any great new ideas for the Scions of Sanguinius, or any notably useful allies to run along? And are the old tricks worth sticking with?
Some half a year ago I also started collecting Empire, and I am still familiarizing myself with the less straight-forward gameplay of
WHFB, since most people at my play only
WH40K. I am still missing a few key units, like the Hurricanum, Steam Tank and some Demigryphs. And then there's the old War Altar, which is in need of some renovation..!
Any good tricks for a beginner to go with? I will either face Daemons, Ogres, Bretonnians or Vampire Counts. Daemons have been especially tricky this far.
I'm looking forward to having a nice time here on DakkaDakka. You'll be hearing from me more...someday.
