Greeting all you Italian FOW players out there. I know there's plenty of you! I need some help.

I just bought a battery of Italian 75/27 artillery pieces from Battlefront. I know some of you will have them - they're great! Artillery, reasonable range, good bombardment capabilities, bullet proof shields, fairly mobile, good anti-tank round for over the sights firing, and they can lob smoke rounds as well! Hot damn, how did the Italians ever manage to lose?

Anyway, these models come with four odd pieces of metal (obviously one per gun) that have a ridge and four protrudent bits from them. They look like a sprue with four artillery shells - I think that is what they are, but the attachment to the sprue looks very solid - its going to be pretty hard to cut them off with the right shape. Does anyone know what they are exactly? I'd hate it if they were actually part of the cannon and I destroyed them.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Ciao!

As an Italian player, I have the canon battery of 75/27's. The bits you are describing are indeed shells for the gun.You can choose to use them or not.

One of the crew is holding a shell so you do have some semblance of shells displayed visually. You can just snip them off near the point and then have them glued to the base scattered around if you want.

I use the Bersaglieri for EW &MW North Africa and use Alpini for MW Eastern Front.
