Subject: Characteristics of an Iron Warriors Force?

With Chaos to be released in a few days my mind has been churning with all kinds of ideas.
I plan on building an Iron Warriors force as they are my favorite chaos army. Obviously we don't know specific models and units so I'm not asking for that, but what are the characteristics of an Iron Warriors army? What are the best types of units to convey their own feel?
I know they are masters of seigecraft, and I plan on having some traitor guard with artillery pieces but as far as the actual chaos force I'm not sure.

I know they send infiltrators into the enemy forces before they commence attacks and in the iron warriors omnibus they tend to proffer melters and heavy weapons. and they make good use of dozer blades on rhinos so they can be used to shift rubble into make shift walls while there troops are on the move

I'd do a lot of heavy weapons indeed.
I dont know about Havocs or Raptors, but seems fitting to me.

As far as aesthetics is concerned, they tend not to tolerate mutations or "gifts" from the chaos gods and instead prefer to amputate the limb and replace it wih cybernetics. So any type of space marine cybernetic parts fit well with the Iron Warriors as well as using some regular space marine parts (torsos with any Imperial markings carved off) make for a nice looking force.

I think the best description of an Iron Warriors force is provided to you in Storm of iron.
Here is a link to an abstract of the story that might help

Lots of heavy fire power and armored vehicles, and the more bionic arms and cables and what not on each individual warrior the better.
Ally with IG Basilisks as well, to indicate they siege weaponry they bring to battle.

I just picked up the Iron Warriors Omnibus, so I'll be working my way through that for ideas. I did read Dead Sky, Black Sun and that's what got me interested in them.
They are a chaos undivided chapter correct? Do they have a leaning towards one of the gods in particular? In Dead Sky black Sun they referenced Khorne frequently.
I was doing some reading, and their affinity for Obliterators was mentioned, saying they were the first chapter to use them.
Also, any suggestions on where to find plenty of bionic parts for conversions?

Terminators, Havocs, Daemon Engines, Heavy Weapons and Meltas are common, and the use of slave soldiers as fire targets. So ally in a 20 man blob as cover and some artillery! They definately specialize in fortifications, but that's been said above. Vindicators are a fluffy choice. They are undivided, but use Berzerkers to storm breaches in walls commonly.

They are roughly Chaos Undivided. They're a little bit in the same boat as most Alpha Legionnaires and Night Lords. The vast majority of them don't actually worship Chaos with any sort of religious devotion like their cult brethren (Emperor's Children, Death Guard, Word Bearers, World Eaters, etc). The Iron Warriors see Warp Energy and Chaos as a whole as more of a tool and a power source to be used to further their own goals. Most mutations aren't tolerated and they're usually cut off and replaced with bionics. You'll rarely see Daemons outside of Daemon Engines, and Daemon Princes are very rare. The only two I can think of are their Daemon Primarch, Perturabo, and the un-named Warsmith from Hydra Cordatus.
They were indeed the first Legion to use Obliterators. Techno-viruses are very in-line with the Iron Warriors, and it's implied they may use something similar to make new Iron Warriors from their captured enemies.
As for Bionic bits, here's some places that have cool bionics:
Forge World
Games Workshop
Puppetswar
Maxmini
Anvil Industry

They use ALOT of human slaves and indentured human soldiers during a siege.
