Hey folks, looking for a bit of advice on an army I'm putting together to game with a friend. It's been many years since we gamed previously, and I'm a bit out of touch with what'll work and what won't.

It's all about the fun though - not planning on entering tournaments and such any time soon. Initially, I'll be playing against eldar, but with plans to develop CSM and ork armies too.

I've tried to create a fairly balanced list, for a versatile force, but if you think it could do with tweaking, or wholesale changeouts, please let me know! I'd appreciate it, before I go painting up a useless force!

In my experience, I only play against my brother while we learn the game more, (I have roughly 5000pts of SM) but we only play 1500 or so point games. I find that razorbacks are MUCH more useful than rhinos, and you will want to have some more vehicles, (press or Vindicators). I'd also suggest dropping the scouts for another vehicles, the only really good reason to take scouts is to get a second troop choice for cheap, because you have two tactical squads, Id say drop them and pick up a tank. The only fallback with razorbacks is that they have a transport capacity of 6, so I would say take your 2 tactical squads and split them into four combat squads for diversity on the battlefield

Even out your dev squads, Look at ranges and what they will target.

Currently you have 48" weapons mixed with a melta, this means you're gonna have a bad time.
