TROPHIES AND PRIZES
The following trophies and prizes will be awarded at the end of the event (subject to
numbers):
• First place
• Second place
• Best Army.
ARMY SELECTION 2000PTS
No more than 2000 points may be spent on the army
playing games of 2000pts comes under the Bigger game section on page 110 of The Warhammer
40k rule book. you CAN take an additional primary detachment
Armies must follow the restrictions on army selections of their codex.
All models used must be painted miniatures of the appropriate type for the troops they represent.
Minimum painting standards are three colours on each model in an appropriate scheme. Models should be based.
Weapons, War gear and upgrades must be shown
You may use converted miniatures
All Special characters are Allowed.
Equipment detailed only in forge world Imperial armour publications may be used and do not cost more than 400pts, No super heavy models and you must provide all the rules for these units. These units are classed as heavy support unless stated otherwise, if not sure on a unit email me what you want to take.

WYSIWYG must be maintained and the player should make it crystal clear to his/her opponents what codex the army is using.
ARMY LIST SUBMISSION
Army lists must be submitted prior to the event via email to the address
PAULLETHERBY@aol.com no later than midnight Saturday 2nd Febuary 2013. Due to
planning parameters reasons for late lists cannot be accepted. It is down to you to make sure
you have sent your list to the correct address / email address. Army lists must be submitted
in an easily readable format, see appendix 3 for an example ideal list template. You MUST
name your file in the following manner: FORENAME_SURNAME_ARMY (e.g.
SMITH_FACTION NAME)
If you do not have access to email then please post your army list to:
Storm of Iron , Paul Letherby, c/o Firestorm Games, 8a Trade Street, Off
Penarth Road, Cardiff, CF10 5DQ.
Failure to submit your army list on time will incur a penalty.
If you submit a list that is late, you might not be eligible for any prize during the weekend.
PLAYING THE GAME
1. Players will compete in five games over two days, players will be drawn based on the Swiss system in order to find a fitting
winner.
2. Please note that there is a nominated Mission for each round.
3. The game is played as normal, with victory points awarded as shown in the Warhammer
40k rulebook, with any modifications to these shown on the scenario table (see Scenarios pack on the day).
4. If you are drawn against an opponent that you have played before, please advise a player
judge who will organise a switch of opponents.
5. After each game check your opponent’s lists.
MISSIONS
All missions and score cards are given out on the day
BEST PAINTING
Repasenatives of Firestorm games will be checking your armies out while you play and decide on the best army.
He will be looking for a good painted army, conversions,
WYSIWYG, Based and last of all and most important Character of the army
DICE ROLLING
1. All “cocked” dice must be re-rolled. Agree with your opponent before play what definition
of “cocked” you will use.
2. Any special dice rolls must be declared before they are made and witnessed by either
your opponent or an acceptable independent e.g. an umpire.
3. All dice must be rolled, not dropped or spun.
4. Players should roll dice where both players can see the results and it is easy to distinguish
which dice have actually been rolled from any others that may be present on the table.
5. Roll Scatter Dice near to the point you are scattering from – it makes it so much easier to
work out which direction to scatter in!
RULES DEBATES
1. Please check the rulebooks; most answers are there.
2. Ask an Umpire. Players should not feel that umpires are unapproachable; we’re there to help facilitate your
game and resolve queries quickly.
3. If an umpire is asked to make a ruling, that decision is binding. Players arguing with an umpire may incur a
penalty score.
4. Umpires are free to interrupt any game to clarify or point out mistakes to players.
5. The Umpires decision is final, even if they are subsequently found to have made an incorrect judgment.
GENERAL RULES
The tournament will be played using all the relevant, current rules and supplements available to the public as of the time of the tournament.
If
GW bring out or release a new army or rules modifications within two weeks of the tournament it cannot be used

Entry fee is £20. Tickets can be bought by sending a cheque
