The 1st lists looks better, although Nijal is far too many points for 1k. Swap him out for a generic Rune priest with TDA and a Wolf priest with saga of the hunter - this will let you reroll hits (divination) and reroll ones (preferred enemy) on the plasma, getting maximum effectiveness out of it.

SotH will also mitigate your immobility problem, outflanking plasma to deal with any DA who are chilling out shooting at you. The TDA will also mitigate some of this by tanking with 2+ armor so allowing you to foot slog better.

All those long fangs are pretty good, but if you come across deathwing, they'll be pretty useless. I'd normally recommend transports, but at 1k it's difficult to fit in.
