So I will probably be playing my first fantasy game this Friday, and the games are set at 2k. I would personally rather do something smaller as my first game, but I am going with a 2k list just in case no one wants to play a 1k or so.

So here is my list. Please note, that I have a lot of models I bought from an ex-Skaven player, but some things I don't have, like a doomwheel, which I really want to try.

So I know bells aren't considered that great, but I really like the randomness of it, it sounds fun. Please let me know what yall think and if you recommend any changes, I also could use some advice on how to deploy them. I do have some other models to play with to change unit sizes. I also have a crap load of rat ogres but I have been reading they aren't considered too great. I have a few catapults and other weapon teams as well.

Gutter runners are most effective in units of 9 and I know that some people disagree, but a unit of 9 will be able to take off a war machine in a turn. And that is what they're there for. And that is my only gripe with the list. It is literally the 2k version of what I run(excluding the gutter runners)

Thanks for the reply, I would like to get the extra 3 but would need to free up 50 points(already have 5 left over), not quite sure what I would drop aside from some items off the Lords and Heroes. I will tinker with it and see what I can come up with.

Really feel like your BSB should have a little more in the way of protection. With just a shield, he's got a 4+/6+p and that's it. He has to go at the front of a unit (unless you're doing the 5 frontage bell thing), which opens him up to attack pretty quickly.

You could also consider dropping the shields from your Slaves. You're paying 25 points for shields that will save a model in CC ~20% of the time, less against S4+ attacks and less against ranged attacks (where you don't get parry). That said, they're at about the perfect number with 50 models so increasing the unit size may make the even more awkward to deal with...

+1 on BSB protection. Talisman of Preservation + Charmed Shield + halberd is my favorite equipment.

+1 on dropping Shields on Slaves as well. It pays off...I'd say 25% of the time. Otherwise, you're losing points.

And once again, I say: 9 Gutter Runners will, on average, Poison-out one war machine a turn. They can easily do more or less, though.

You could drop the 2nd Engineer and give the Rocket to your Condenser-carrier.

I'd also consider dropping the second Clanrats for Stormvermin, to get at the Storm Banner. The Bell and the A-bomb will thank you.

And as for the Bell, I actually think it's great. Especially when your opponent has a huge block of Flesh to Stone'd T7 dudes...

Thanks! These are all great ideas and I will tweak the list a bit and see what I can get to work. I had put shields on all the slaves because that is how the guy who sold them to me model'd them. Freeing up 50 points would really help though...

If you're playing a friendly game, I'm sure your opponent wil agree to count em as not having shields.

I have about 1 out of 3 Slaves equipped with shields. No one's complained yet.
