Infinity League-

Escalation/SlowGrow 100 - 200 pts

Well I have finally gotten around to posting something, and looky here its a League that I will be running for my local game store in the south bay, Game Kastle. http://www.gamekastle.com/

The League will run from Oct 7th through Nov 11th and grow from 100pt sto 200 pts. This makes it perfect for those individuals that are just getting into the game. All you need until likely around week 4 is a starter box of Infinity. There are plenty of Factions to choose from, all of which are extremely balanced in game play. If this is your first exposure to Infinity please visit their website:http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/. Check out the downloads section and download a copy of each of the army books and the quick start rules, its all for free! While you are at it you might want to grab the Templates/Tokens as well, again all free! In addition they have an online army building tool (located off the same main site), guess what...ITS FREE. Really your only expenditure here is the starter box plus 1-3 blisters (unless your like me and treat it Pokeman; gotta get them all!) Without further ado here are the rules for the Infinity League

Infinity Slow Grow League-

Oct 7th - Nov 11th. Games do not have to take place on any specific day/place, but we are always at Game Kastle on Wednesdays.

Week 1 – 100pts

Week 2 – 125pts

Week 3 – 150pts

Week 4 – 175pts

Week 5 – 200pts

League Rules:

· 10 dollar entry to the league (Entry to the League is made through Game Kastle, simply show up/ call in and pay your league dues; all proceeeds will go towards prize support at the end of the event)

· Each League player needs to declare their League Name (your 'handle' or name) and Faction prior to week 1 (only one faction please, if Sectorial please list as the parent faction)

- All lists must be legal (must have Lt, fit within SWC limits, fit within point limits, etc)

· Faction must remain the same throughout the schedule, however the lists may change from week to week/game to game, and Sectorial lists count as the primary faction (and thus may be swapped out within the faction as desired)

· Lists used must be provided to your opponent at the end of the game (or prior if desired), this is to help with BatReps and also to help new players understand what they faced

· Games played for the league must be reported to the League moderator (thats me) by Sunday evening of each week, games not reported will not be counted towards the League. When reporting the game please include the date and the name of your opponent.

· BatReps for games must include the following: Both lists, a quick summary of the mission objectives, and a few sentences that sum up the battle/outcome (three or four minimum), photos are great but not necessary.

· Don’t be ‘that guy’, be courteous, kind and above all patient

League Points [LPs] for:

· Playing a unique league member +1 LP (unique status resets each week)

· Playing a fully painted force +2LP (given at the end, at least one game must have been played with a fully painted force; i.e three colors not including base)

· Writing up a BatRep from one of that weeks battles +1LP (given for each BatRep)

· Contributing some terrain to the ‘pot’ +3LP (the pot is a collection of terrain we will use going forward to provide a collection at the store strictly for our use; given only once at the end of the league). Terrain donations must be at least 9x9 inches (or the equivelant if multiple smaller pieces) to count

· Mentoring a new player +1LP (this is a sponsored point given by the new players; only given when a new player is playing a ‘veteran’ player and its more Demo than actual game, this game DOES NOT need to be the same point total as the weeks forces indicate and will typically be much less)

League Rewards:

Best Paint Job – voted on by all League members

Best Sportsman/Most helpful - voted on by all league members

Most Games Played – Based solely on total games against unique opponents

Most League Points Overall – Speaks for itself

behind you!

Sign ups have begun, stop by or call into the Santa Clara store to join in. First day of the League is Oct 7th, wth regular gaming nights on Wednesday from 6pm to 10pm. This Sunday I will be at the store to get some games in and provide terrain for others interested in playing.

For those of you that are real new to the game this is a great opportunity, as a starter box will get you through at least the 1st two weeks, after that pick up a blister or two and you will have enough to finish the league out, meet other players in your area and have a good time. Hope to see you there!
