Subject: Infiltrating with Black Templars, viable tactic?

I'm currently been making my first BT army list for an upcoming games day, and noticed that Black Templar Command Squads can take Infiltrate USR.
From what I understand this would get me within Charge distance of an enemy Turn 1 for less than the cost of a Rhino/Drop Pod.
Chaplain Grimaldus - 195
10x Company Command Squad - BP/CCW, frag grenades, chapter banner, infiltrate - 225
Going this route it would be 420 points for
5x S6 AP4 attacks
20x S4 attacks
3x S3 attacks
Within 12-18" of an enemy turn 1, a Holy Relic, with the option to add a second holy relic for 30 more points, all with the Counter Attack USR, +1 attack if charged, and rerolls to hit on a charge.
However, looking at different lists I don't think I've ever seen a Black Templar player use Infiltrate in their list. Am I missing something that makes this stratagem sub-par?

You can charge just as long as you don't have first turn. Infiltrating can be bad with some armies because it separates the squad from your main force so it's easily killed.

"a unit that deploys using these rules (infiltrate) cannot charge on the first turn"

"whenever a rule refers to 'a turn' it alwats means 'player turn' unless it specifically refers to a 'game turn"
So yea, you can assault on your first turn as long as you dont go first.

I stand corrected. However, as mentioned above, I don't know how efficient it would be to sit a whole turn without any support/protection... A smart player will make sure to shoot you to death or assault you to counter rage USR.

not really sure what you are trying to prove. Any way you look at it, your infiltrators are getting shot to pieces if they are left unsupported the following player turn.

I never ran them with infiltrate ever. If I use a command squad, its terminators with dual assault cannons and tank hunter.
I have also tried dual melta guns in a drop pod in normal power armor. I had counter attack on them, worked like a charm!

It was fun but not competitive in 5th to muck about with infiltration.
You are looking at a really expensive squad being in rapid fire range. The question is whether FNP and maybe a few storm shields can keep them alive. I would say, maybe some but the remains will not be that good at cc if they are assaulted(let's face it rage and LoH are the only things that make BT stand out as an assault army.)
I have a question about the holy relic, does it affect the enemy and your space marine allies(including grey knights.)?
Set up in cover with you warlord out of view, with 2 heavy plasma guns and FNP. That is really expensive but I could make it work.
