Subject: Space wolves thunder-wolf Calvary with ice bases
So I got bored of painting my guardsmen(since i have about a million more to go) I decided to ask some of my friends if I could paint a model or two of their armys. my buddy asked if I would paint his thunder wolves and this is my current progress
I first made the bases
Our other friend plays tau, so there was a request to have some tau being destroyed somewhere within the model.
Spoiler:
Group shot
Close Up
Side Angle
yesterday i finished painting the wolves and put them on the bases. i also scratched the bases up and added snow (to make them more icey) this is my current progress
Spoiler:
i will be working on the riders some point this week and mounting them. also sorry but the only camera i have access to is my iphone's camera :( when im done with the models i will probably have a white background with lights to take a proper picture. This is also my first real "thread" so if the response is good i may post other models i have painted in the past that are up to this quality or higher

I got the idea from his tutorial yes, but i used a different "resin" I guess I would call it. I live near the store where he picked up his resin, but before rushing out to get it I looked around in my basement and found some crazy tin can that had a similar description. Worked out fine so

yea a friend wants me to paint a tyranid of his. So ive been practicing adding dye to the resin(im trying to make a few small toxic sludge pools on the base) so, trying to find the right ratio to get what i want. ill post a picture of that sometime next week i suppose if i get around to finishing it.
Water sounds cool tho, would be maybe hard to get the ripples.... maybe get a fan and have the fan blow on it as it drys?(could create a cool ripple effect) not sure tho...maybe ill mess around with that idea as well

They turned out quite nice, and I like the scratching you have done on it, but I'm not sure about the rocks personally, it just feels a bit out of place in the middle of a big sheet of ice, but that's probably just me overthinking things, it looks nice which is what really matters.
Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).
