I have a friend who is enthusiastic about using Lucius Pattern DropPods with his dreadnoughts. As I often play IG Gunline or IG Hybrid, I hate these things with the fire of 1000 suns but, I do like my friend. This got me thinking about IA units in general. I went looking and found some IG Toys in IA1 and IAA2 that seemed quite nice.

I think IG is particularly well suited to take advantage of IA toys using the allies rules in 6th, given that the best ones that I could find were all squadron-able.

Total Allies Cost: 930

ADL + Quad gun (100)

HQ: Company Command Squad (5#, 110 pts)
Company Command Squad + Camo Cloak + Meltagun x4

Troops: Veteran Squad (10#, 150 pts)
Veteran Squad + Meltagun x3 + Demolitions + Lascannon

Elite: Heavy Mortar Battery (IA) (12#, 150 pts)
3 Heavy Mortar Battery
9 Guardsmen

Fast Attack: Cyclops RC Demolition Vehicle (IA) (6#, 75 pts)
3 Cyclops RC Demolition Vehicle (IA)

Heavy Support: Manticore Platform (IA) (3#, 345 pts)
3 Manticore Platform + Storm Eagle Rockets x3

I also liked, but did not include...
General Grizmund
Imperial Sentry Guns
Hydra Platform (especially since they somehow kept Interceptor in the 6th ed FW faq even though the standard hydra lost it)

The only one I've used - Vulture with Punishers.
It's disgusting. Vector dancer for getting behind vehicles and glancing them to death. Strafing run for pinning those pesky hordes down. Great at taking out other fliers too.
It's cheap to boot!

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...
