So, my friend and I started on our first Infinity table (we'll probably try to sell it when it's done). Idea came to me when i watched Tron movie. Table will have around 12-16 pieces, depends on our free time. It will be all black and edges will be highlited in blue color to resemble blue stripes in movie. We'll try to achive some glow effect, if possible. Besides all the levels and walls it will have some see-trough power walls in blue color also.

i am currently building an arena that will later on be painted in a tron-like fashion too... i am looking forward as to how you are going to point this up then!

@ Kanluwen - yep, i put pictures on Infinity forum and miniwargaming also. since we are thinking of selling it when it's done to get some money for new materials since we have lot's of ideas we need more people to see it . oh, and i will upload pictures to gallery, didn't remember that at all.

Some progress has been made. Got some new pieces of terraine. Just one more and we are finished with what we planed. Last piece will be catwalk but it has to be painted first so no pictures of it. Also i made one test model of power wall (last picture) that i'll put on different places after primeing is finished. Let me know what you think. Good or bad critics, all is welcome.

UPDATE!!

Terraine is painted all black and is drying right now. I'll try to put some pictures of all pieces together when they are dried. Probably 6-8 hours from now.

So. Base painting took more then i thought it will. And we got 2 of our friend aboard this project (and probably all others too).

The final decision has been made. When it's done the table is going on sale. We are thinking of starting small terraine building workshop. At first we thought just to sponsor our hobby (new figures, paints etc.) but if people are interested enough maybe we switch it to full job.

The idea is to create complete set terrain in agreement with buyer. Like painting service but with terrain. So this table is going for sale when it's done just so we can gather some money to give us a push.

So if you are interested in buying this terrain when it's done PM me with some decent offers adn we'll talk...and after all this bla bla bla time for some pictures.

The table where pieces are layed is 100x100cm (and some regular table for Infinity is 120x120cm), so plenyt of terrain to play with.

One thing though, have you played on it yet? How did it go? I only ask cause i feel you may be lacking in Total Cover options! One thing i find that can bog down a game is too many fire lanes/too much LoF!

nope. haven't played on it yet. but no worries. there are lots of full cover areas. the base of piece is 2cm high, there are walls and obstacles on every piece that is from 2 to 4cm in height. And after painting we are putting some power walls also, that will be big enough on some places to provide cover.

Looks like a freerunners paradise....

The table is finished. We started on our pocjet of creating terrain making studio called Slap-O-Paint. And this table is our first one going on sale to get us started. Facebook page is in making and you can expect to hear from us soon on our services.

i like the shape of the moduls and i like the scheme... but i think it needs details... to really sell the terrain aspect... or do you imagine it all just as 3D terrainscape as in tron ? just sort of graphics with low texture ... basic shapes and stuff?

because... with all those blue "window" walls it seems as if you want to add more...

i was going for computer generic minimalistic look, so to speak. the idea was to make it look dark, menacing place where no good can come. the walls do pop-out much on last pictures since i used flash and black went off a little. on other pictures you can see it's blending well.

yeah i see that the flash did ruin it a bit... but as you showed them all in closeups earlier... no big deal then... more the overall look with all together for the last pics anyway!

and i see... so more CGI look then... then mission acomplished
