I'm working on a looted Triarch Stalker.
My question is about Necron fluff for painting purposes.
Would that unearthly green glow still occur if the vehicle was no longer under the control of its war host?
Keep in mind that it has now been fitted with a combustible ork power source, gubbinz, and exhaust.

Orks are green......Necrons glow green. I see no problems here. Besides, we Orks can loot ANYTHING, and even make it work

Agreed, and WAAAGH energy is inherently green
So that explains our green glows

I'm not sure tbh. Are you fitting it with an orky engine?

If your doing that I wouldn't use the green glow and I would add extra wiring in the legs and possibly some pistons like you see on a diff dread or kills kan. But I do love the fact someone else ponders these things as well as I do lol

Not everyone paints the green glow anyway. And whatever does the glowing might well be broken (either by battle damage or the mek's "repairs") - if you want the semi-repaired/rebuilt look which I think suits ork looted vehicles, maybe have some bits glowing and some not? I'd definitely replace a leg or two with orky versions, and add rivets and patches and cables here and there.
