I play salamanders space marines and I wanted to know what lists you all would use for different point values...
500pts
750pts
1000pts
1500pts

You don't have to be specific in the lists, I am just looking for some advice on creating the lists.
Below is a list of all my models and their point values...

Troops
2 ten man tactical squads - 170pts a peice
1 five man tactical squad - 90pts
1 five man scout sniper squad w/ sergent telion - 125

Elites
1 dreadnaught 105pts
1 ironclad dreadnaught 125pts
1 ten man terminator squad 400pts

Transport
1 rhino 35pts
1 droppod 35pts

Heavy support
land raider crusader 250pts

HQ
Captain w/ 115pts
Chaplin w/ jump pack 115pts
Chaplin tactical 100

Thanks for your input and like I said you don't need to be super detailed with your list, just give me a basic list.

You have not got Vulkan, so I would be careful describing them as salamanders.

You have no method to deal with flyers.

Small points are horrible for space marines.
Units like shooty terminators come into their own as they are so vertsitile. Also librarians are for the same reason, so maybe give a librarian SS and terminator armour.

The raider will not work at 1500 points, it is just to many points. Also you haven't much to put in it.

I would start with your elites and heavies, take some cool units. Then use your troop choice to help them.

So let's say I really, really like sternguard.
I am going to go for a drop pod, as we like things close and personal.

345 for drop pod 10 sternguard 8 combimeltas and 2 heavy flamers. Expensive but they are super killy. They split into two units on arrival and kill anything due to special ammo and combis and flamers.

Let's get two of these as it is the way we roll.

Well we now need troops. 2 drop pods means we need one more to get them down on turn one.

So 220 combimelta, melta,ML drop pod tactical squad then is going to be good. Combat squad and only have 5 marines on board.

We need more scoring units so let's go for the scouts as they are cheap. So 137 for your scouts with camo cloaks.

Then looking over the list drop pods lack any range or mobility or anti flyer. Guess that means a couple of stormtalons, they work better in pairs, with typhoons. 150 for them.
This list would make great use of pedro, and enough use of Vulkan but I put the librarian as you'll want him at lower points.

140 librarian with SS and terminator armour.

345 sternguard
345 sternguard

220 combimelta, melta,ML drop pod tactical squad
137 scouts
