Anyone know either a third party supplier, or a good way to make autocannons? Making up two havoc squads with 4 each and the GW ones look awful. Even a gun that is different enough would be fine. I cant afford to go forgeworld/wait for them to come out at this point in time.

I would investigate military miniature games. Eg. World War 2 games and such. Just keep the scale in mind.

Otherwise, i don't see many other options

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

Forgeworld will be releasing a squad of 5 pre heresy marines soon with 4 Autocannons.

Glue a piece of plasticard tubing (with a few holes drilled in it) to the end of a heavy bolter barrel, and add some chaosy bits and a CCW bayonet at the end.

Alternately, I'm reasonably certain that the 4 guns of the quad-gun that comes with the aegis defense line are separate on the sprue. It's a little pricey, but that would be a quick way to get 4 autocannons.

What i did was get some Ig heavy weapon team autos and heavy bolter arms and applied the trigger to the rear of the auto cannon. the only thing is getting autocannons cheaply and affixing the arms just right.
