They are not oblivious, they are trying to sweep it under the rug. I am 0 for 7 on finecast models form my local GW (went through 4 vargulfs before giving up, a pair of the termi Chaplains and an emperors champion) yet the redshirt still insists that finecast errors are only "like 1 in 10, and even then most are easily fixable".

Are they oblivious, or are people crying on the internet about it to a saddening degree?
I've bought a shocking amount of Finecast Necrons and am perfectly happy with them. My anecdotal evidence is superior to your own.

No, they are defiantly intentionally trying to hide it. I had a redshirt get all passive-aggressive at me because I wouldn't believe that bubbles is a natural fur texture. He then told me that since it seems unlikely that I am ever going to get one that 'meets my standards' (apparently not being covered in bubbles is unrealistic expectations) he would refund it for me.

I wrote something meaner then deleted it. In short: There are tons of threads on Finecast problems every week, go to one of those. Liquid Green Stuff is GW's response to the Finecast problems. It's imperfect as a solution, but it's handy as a tool in your kit.

In in agreance with the fact that FineCrap does suck big time. I'm 0-3 but am satisfied with the outcome from GW's customer service dept. but I have a sealed Lord of Change that I keep battling with myself to either open or return =(
