To be honest Dark, I think we are at the point that many of us who are fans of the series are having to pick on minor irritations to knock down the characters.
I know for me personally apart from about five or six of the starting characters, I liked pretty much all of them.

I can get that, but there's still a lot of other character I would've bumped off by now before Bashir, such as Martok or Sisko, as pivotal and awesome as they both are. Hell if it wasn't for the films I'd have spent every last point in getting rid of Kirk.
