Well, just finished up two more things:
Here's my pingpong ball Nurgle Spawn:

And something a bit different...
I've always thought lobsters are a bit Slaanesh, what with their whacking great claws and tendril thingies. Came upon a rubber one at a boot fair recently so thought why not? and painted the fella up in appropriate colours. Figures he's some sort of monstrous wrecking/close combat beastie:

Very interesting. I will say this I haven't seen a lobster as a monstrous creature before.

Looks like a Soulgrinder to me. Or Soulpincer, anyway.

The spawn is rather excellent. However it is getting over looked by the lobster. I see where you're coming from but I think to pull it off you need to put in the level of conversion that you did with the spawn. Maybe even make it into a piece of scenery by building it into a hill/cliff and use it as sacred ground where you daemons can spawn from and/or worship!

But i believe its definitely a first for Dakka and most likely the WORLD!

Need more 's in my life!

There's not many monstrous creatures that can be neutralised with a pair of elastic bands ...

The spawn is great, I like the jellyfish vibe it has.

The lobster? Well, it does kind of look like a painted rubber lobster, now if it was bursting out of some scenery.....

At the moment I would say it needs a little work.

You could paint chaos symbols on the lobster's carapace to help bring it into the theme of the army.

If you can arc the tail up behind it a bit and put a cannon in it....instant soulgrinder...

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

I see great things with this idea.... If you took the rules for the Ork's Squiggith you could give it an armored truck bed and make it a transport. OR do up like a Dark Eldar Raider and make it a mobile weapon platform, OR you could take a Daemonette and make her ride it with hooks in its mouth (keeping the fish theme). You could use the Chariot on the Lobster too. Either way it needs much more contrast, painted symbols, spikes, armor, and a nice base.

Ultramarine, Scouts, Blood Angels, Dark Angels
The Bad: 8,000
Chaos, Daemons, Dark Eldar, Orks

Ta for the kind words folks. Taken it on board and indeed will be adding to Lob - at the very least some sort of eye guards, but maybe glyphs all over and maybe more armour
