Forgeworld currently, through their 6thed vehicle update, has the Dreadclaw as an assault vehicle, but it has to deep strike to come in. Does the assault vehicle rule on page 33 of the main rulebook get around the deep strike rules on page 36 pf the rulebook? Also is Imperial Armor 2nd Edition the current rules for the Dreadclaw, minus the 6th update?

No, you must still have permission to override the no assaulting after deep strike and no assaulting after coming in from reserves.

No. Imperial Armour Aeronautica has the most up to date information.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Since the Dreadclaw is a Flyer and can take off again after landing, wouldn't it be possible to bring it in as a Flyer - making it hard to hit - then switch it to Hover Mode the following turn, chuck the troops/dread out and then they can assault out of it?

Perfectly legal.

I've been thinking of using one more as a ferry then a drop pod... Do as suggested above, then fly back across the board and move a second unit. Shifting Zerkers round and round. Deepstrike, fly to where i actually want to be, move 6 unload assault etc.. next turn... can even load a unit into it after the other one unloaded to boost it's movement by 6 the next turn. Leap frog combats??

Honestly the biggest problem with it, is that unless your playing with a double FOC... it's taking the slot of Bikes, Heldrake(s), and rapters/warp talons. Mostly the Heldrake and bike slots is what i'm worried about.

Mess with the best, Die like the rest.
