Made in fi
Excited About the Great Crusade

Finland, The deep forests of Pohjanmaa

Alright, so this will be my blog of everything that I do (30k/40k/FaBa or whatever), so its going to a bunch of ramblings and wandering from one thing to another

Anyway, I have a few pet projects underway at the moment, and some pics of other stuff that I've made at some point.

First off, the Loyalist Word Bearers that I mentioned:

Here's my commander, Chapter Master Ixars. Since I'm using the DA Codex with these guys, he counts as Belial with twin lightning claws. He's made of a real bundel of bits. The body came from the cheese-meister Draigo, the claws from an Assault Terminator pack, the head from Sanguinary Guard and the shoulder pads are from Scibor Miniatures bits that I threw together on a whim. I might change them in the near future, as I have another model that could use those more...

Oh, and the =][= symbols stand for the Imperial Truth (also where the name "Paladins of the Truth" comes from)

Chaplain Uzara (Interrogator-Chaplain). This guy is the Kabuki models "Preacher Knight", with a changed head (for some reason my blister pack came without one, but meh). Now its a while since I painted this guy, and I need to redo the flames and some other details at some point, but otherwise he doesn't look too bad, does he?

My pimped out Veterans. I used the Grey Knights pack, with almost all of the Combi-bolters I have. Now, the oly problem is that currently I have to count that heavy flamer as multi-melta (I really, really hope they fix that in the next Codex), but otherwise its a fun little squad. And again, some re-painting to do here and there.

Here's a pic of the WIP "Deathwing" Terminator with a "Legion" banner (I used the Tempus Fugitives 'Age of the Emperor' rules as inspiration for the most part, so I made some interesting choices). This guy actually managed to kill a Flamer with his storm bolter before being mutilated by a Daemon Prince or Greater Daemon (I can't remember which it was. The unit, and Ixars with them, were attacked by two big ones in turn 2. On the last turn the only ones remaining were Ixars and the other big nasty, both on their last wounds).

I have the rest of Terminators, two Tactical squads, a squad of Assault Marines on foot, a Land Raider (Redeemer, again something I can't field, damnit), a Chaplain (who kicked major butt in the game), couple of Rhinos and a Command Squad to finish up for this army.

Next some of the Space Wolves:

My Wolf Priest that I'm going to use as count-as Ragnar Blackmane. He's almost completely made of bits from the Space Wolves pack box. His head though is from Khorne Berserkers bits (gotta love them fangs, though ).

Scibor Miniatures Torin Mech Suit, that I intend to field as a (Contemptor) Dreadnought.

These are currently the only two SW models that I have pics of, but I have another two character, two packs of Grey Hunter and around 20-30 Blood Claws (not entirely sure on that number) and 6 Wolf Scouts. I also have 3 Thunderwolf Cavalry, 12 LotR Wild Wargs that I intend to turn to Fenrisian Wolves (I find them actually to be more faithful to the art work of the Codex then the official ones...) and 5 Wolf Guard Terminators.

Next in line are the Imperial Army/Guard:

Like with my Wolves, this is the only guy I've got pictures of at the moment. He is based of the metal Warmachine Supreme Kommandant Irusk of Khador I swapped his sword (that should be in his left hand) to a Mantic Games Corporation "power fist". He will be a count-as Commissar Yarrick.

Besides him, I have models to count-as Lord Castellan Creed and Kell, along with ~60 Wargames Factory Storm Troopers (who will be reinforced by about 80 DreamForge-Games Storm Troopers. I love kickstarter now...). They are themed as aerial assault (?) army, so I'll add some flyers to them at some point, though it looks like I'll have to scratch build them...oh dear.

Then, a bit of suprise, some Legio Custodes

Again, some more paiting to be done, some deatils to take care and so on. I also intend to change the "globe" image on the banner to an eye (Eye of Terra, which later became Horus' symbol. Totally stealing that idea from a guy in The Great Crusade forum . I also have the "Ceaser of Rome" model, though he had a bit of an accident and his pointing finger isn't exactly poiting anymore...oh well. And I think I can field him as Draigo without much problem....

I also have another Land Raider that I intend to convert to a Crusader one and give it to these guys.

And, last bu not least, the Dark Vengeance (Limited Edition) minis.

The Librarian. I decided to make a twist and make the DA army into a Heresy-Era one, and this guy stood out a bit too much for my tastes. So I decided to paint him up as a Thousand Son instead. The helmet is from the Thunderwolves box.

Here's a WIP pic of the Hellbrute (I took this as a comparison pic just to illustrate how huge the Torin is....). I have most of the minis undercoated, except the renegades. I've also started working on the DA Tactical and Terminator squads and the Chaplain, and they should be pic ready soon enough.

That's about it for a starters folks. Feel free to comment and ask anything you want, but
1)yes, I'm too lazy to do the bases propelry. I might do them in the future but as for now, meh
2) Yes, I have used washes on the metal bits, but for some reason the camera seems to eat those details...

So yeah. Thanks, more updates coming up when I get something done....
