I've been thinking of starting a BT army but i've been away from the hobby for a bit and i'm still learning 6th ed. Please take a look and tell me how i can improve.

The plan is to have the missile squad defend the nearest objective, while the melta squad in the rhino moves up to take care of any vehicles they may have and to deny/take objectives. The chappy will be in the remaining squad attempting to contest any objectives and to kill as many things as possible, whilst being supported by the missile squad.

At 500pts this is not bad.

I would lose the auspex and kraks on the chappy for frags instead (and maybe plasma pistol?)

I would also lose the rhino and one of the initiates squad and bring in a couple of typhoon land speeders. It will bring you 4 MLs and 2 HBs for very cheap.

I would agree on the Typhoons. Its seems to be a staple for Black Templars at low point lists. Its an effective, and cheap unit.

I have 10 points left so i'm thinking of just giving one of the squads a neophyte (probably the melta gun squad since they'll be without the chappy). I think at smaller points this is definitly the list to go with, less troops but more killing power.
